01About this policy
This policy explains how Carrom Master handles information when you use our Android application and related support services. “Carrom Master,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the provider of the Carrom Master application. “You” means the person using our services. Personal information means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.
Carrom Master is an independent training companion for compatible mobile carrom games. It is not the game itself. This policy covers our application and services; the game publisher’s own privacy policy applies to information handled by the game.
02Information we handle
Device and anonymous account information
The app creates or accesses an anonymous service account using an app/device identifier. We process that identifier, a service-assigned user ID, authentication tokens, and service settings such as trial availability, reward history, and access status. An anonymous account does not require your name or email, but its activity can still be linked to its identifier.
Usage and technical information
With your Usage Access permission, the app reads Android app activity events, including package names and event times, to determine whether Carrom is in the foreground. This check runs on your device so training controls can hide and analysis can pause when you leave the game. This feature keeps only a limited event history in memory; it does not save or upload your app usage history. You can revoke Usage Access in Android settings.
We collect app events and diagnostic information, such as feature use, app version, device brand and model, Android version, language, timestamps, and crash or unresponsive-app details. Diagnostics can include error messages, stack traces, and the app screen or process involved. Our servers and infrastructure providers also receive connection information, including IP addresses, when the app contacts them.
Integrity and purchase information
We use Google Play Integrity tokens and related app, device, and licensing results to check whether requests and installations are trustworthy. Google Play handles payments. The app handles product identifiers, purchase tokens, and purchase or subscription status to provide and restore paid features. We do not receive your full payment-card details from Google Play.
Installation and campaign information
The app may process an Android advertising identifier when available, install-referrer information, campaign identifiers, and related app events to understand how users find the app and measure campaigns. Availability depends on your device settings and the integrations enabled for your app version. Meta event and attribution processing applies when the Meta integration is enabled.
Information you choose to send
If you contact support by email or in-app messaging, we receive your message and any images or other information you choose to include. Email correspondence also includes your email address. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or unrelated private information.
Screen images and recordings are handled as described below. They are separate from the account, event, and diagnostic information sent to our services.
03Screen capture and replays
With your Android screen-sharing permission, Carrom Master reads captured frames to analyse the board and display visual practice feedback. This image analysis runs on your device. The app does not automatically upload captured screen frames or replay videos to our servers for this analysis.
When you start recording, or enable the automatic recording option for your sessions, the app saves video in its local app storage so you can review it later. The current recording feature captures video without microphone audio. Enabling access to the recording feature does not, by itself, turn on automatic recording.
Screen sharing can include more than the game. Depending on the Android sharing option you select, the captured area may include your entire display, other apps, or notifications. Stop screen sharing before opening private content. Tap Stop Recording in the floating controls to finish a saved video; this does not end screen sharing used for visual practice feedback. Exit Carrom Master from its controls or use Android’s screen-sharing controls to end capture entirely.
Permission to display over other apps lets us show the floating controls and visual feedback. A foreground service keeps an active capture session running; Android notifications provide session information where permitted. Network access supports service checks, configuration, purchases, analytics, and support.
If you deliberately send a screenshot or image through support, that content is uploaded as part of your message. Local app data may also be included in Android backup or device-transfer services, depending on your device and backup settings; those services are separate from uploads to Carrom Master.
04How we use information
- Provide visual training feedback, local recordings, replay access, and your selected settings.
- Authenticate service requests and maintain trial, reward, and paid-feature access.
- Check app integrity, protect the service, and investigate misuse or technical faults.
- Understand feature use, diagnose crashes, and improve performance and reliability.
- Deliver app configuration and measure installations and promotional campaigns.
- Respond to feedback, privacy requests, and other support enquiries.
- Meet applicable legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our rights and users.
06How long information is kept
We retain service information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, taking account of the type of information, ongoing support or account needs, security, and applicable legal requirements. Some records may need to be retained to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or meet accounting and legal obligations.
Replay files remain in local app storage until removed by you, app-storage cleanup, or the operating system. The app can remove older recordings to manage storage; it does not provide a permanent replay archive. Clearing app storage or uninstalling normally removes local app files, but copies in backups or files you shared elsewhere may remain under your control or the relevant provider’s controls.
Pending diagnostic reports may be kept locally until a later upload attempt. Service providers may retain data according to their own applicable policies. Contact us if you need information about retention or want to request deletion of data associated with your use of Carrom Master.
07Your choices and deletion requests
You can stop screen sharing, revoke Usage Access, change overlay and notification permissions in Android settings, and control the app’s recording options. Android’s privacy settings also provide controls for your advertising identifier. Available controls vary by Android version.
To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information or an associated anonymous service account, email carrommasterapp@hotmail.com. You can make this request even if you no longer have the app installed.
- Use the subject Carrom Master data deletion and explain what you want deleted.
- If available, include your in-app user or device identifier, or details of your earlier support conversation, so we can locate the relevant records. Do not send a password or full payment-card number.
- We may ask for limited additional information to verify the request. We will explain any information we must retain and respond in accordance with applicable requirements.
Uninstalling the app or clearing local storage does not automatically delete server-side records. A deletion request does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription; manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play separately.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your information, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or contact a data-protection authority. You can contact us to exercise applicable rights.
08Security and international transfers
We use safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted network connections and access controls. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our providers may process information in countries other than where you live. Privacy protections may differ between countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and handle your information under this policy and applicable law.
09Children’s privacy
Carrom Master is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate steps to remove it.
Where a higher age or parental-consent requirement applies, we will follow that requirement.
10This website and external links
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It contains no advertising pixels, analytics scripts, or submission forms. The homepage includes a demonstration video served from this website, without a third-party video embed. Loading, playing, or downloading website content sends ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and requested page or media file, to the hosting provider, which may process connection and security logs.
Links to Google, Firebase, Cloudflare, Meta, the game, or other external services take you to services we do not control. Review their policies when using them. Choosing an email link opens your email application; no message is sent until you send it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or services change. We will publish the revised policy here and update the date at the top. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change takes effect.
